Future Day
On the National Future Day, students in grades 5 through 7 gain insights into research, teaching, and various career fields at the 51吃瓜.
The goal is to explore interests and abilities independent of gender stereotypes and to encourage a broader range of career choices.
Future Day At The 51吃瓜
The next Future Day will take place on Thursday, November 12, 2026. Faculties, departments, and institutes of the 51吃瓜 offer children of university staff the opportunity to participate in the basic program: students accompany their parent or guardian for a day at work or during their studies.
No central registration is required; only an internal arrangement with supervisors or lecturers is necessary.
In addition, there are special programs for children of university staff as well as external participants. These provide more in-depth insights into selected subject areas; space is limited and registration is required.

Registration process: Register as a user on the 鈥淓ventfrog鈥� platform and book a ticket for the desired special program.
Data protection: Use of the platform is subject to Eventfrog鈥檚 data protection policies; participation in the programs is subject to the specific Future Day program regulations.

Requirements for Participation
Participation requirements vary by canton. Participation must be coordinated with the school, and in some cases a formal request for exemption must be submitted.

By experimenting with different life plans and career biographies, young people not only get to know a variety of new professions and training opportunities, but also learn how diverse (career) biographies can be.
The learning game helps young people to develop a reflective develop a reflective relationship to their own career aspirations.
