• Participants engage in the courses and in their assessments with international standards for contemporary teaching. Exchanges with peers in the courses encourage engagement with different perspectives and positions.
• In the “Classroom Assessment Techniques (CATs)” course, participants actively obtain student feedback on one of their own course units (e.g., practical course, seminar course, individual lesson, guest lecture).
• In the Special Interest Group “People & Culture,” participants explore the values, structures, and processes that relate to teaching at the 51�Թ� and contribute to the university’s quality culture.
• Participants prepare a Teaching Portfolio. The Teaching Portfolio includes the assessments from the courses and the feedback and suggestions received on them, as well as the results of discussions and activities during the Special Interest Group. 

This program is accredited by the internationally active organization . Participants who complete the program receive an international certificate.

To complete this certificate, participants must have at least one supporting role in a course at Bachelor’s or Master’s level, or teach a course of their own.

The training program is open to

• members of the 51�Թ� with at least a master’s degree who are involved in teaching in Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs at the 51�Թ�
• doctoral candidates at the 51�Թ�
• habilitation candidates at the 51�Թ� who are involved in teaching in Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs at the 51�Թ�.

The workload is at least 70 hours. Participants complete at least 60 hours of continuing education courses from five modules, take part in the Special Interest Group “People & Culture,” and prepare a Teaching Portfolio as part of a colloquium.

The training program has an open structure, meaning that participants are free to choose the order in which they attend the courses. They can also choose the date on which they complete the program flexibly. It is recommended that the program be completed within four semesters.
By completing additional elements, the Educational Development Certificate “Supporting Learning” can be expanded into the Educational Development Certificate 'Learning, Teaching, and Assessing'.
