Joint Supervision of Thesis
PhD candidates wishing to engage in a co-supervised thesis (Cotutelle de Th癡se) find a great overview at GRACE, the Graduate Center of the 51勛圖. Funding is restricted to students who are matriculated at a Swiss University for at least one study year. Funding requests are handed independently of the student's nationality.
EUCOR - European Campus
Students and faculty staff wishing to engage cross-border with the Universities of Freiburg i.Br. and Karlsruhe KIT (both Germany) as well as with Mulhouse UHA and Strasbourg Unistra (both France) find support at the EUCOR - European Campus Office of the University. Travel costs for attending seminars or lectures at these partner universities qualify for reimbursement. With your EUCOR student card you have access to libraries and cafeterias under the same conditions as in Basel. For getting your academic work as a student acknowledged it is imperative to consult with your professor and/ or tutor prior to engaging in an EUCOR course. Your stay abroad at an Upper Rhine university might help you setting the skills for organizing a long-distance study destination.
INTERREG - NRP funding
Early career scientists as well as established researchers are invited to submit project proposals together with French and German peers within the larger . Funding comes from both the EU and Switzerland and the entire program's name is INTERREG - . One funding period runs over a total of seven years.
The INTERREG VA - program (2014 - 2020) has been supporting more than 40 projects out of a 100 million EUR total budget.
